Let me tell you how I found Freaky Ferments. We were always at the events together for a while, but I never tried their hot sauce until one day my husband told me about them and praising how great they were. My husband is a hot sauce lover and bought few times from them. I decided to try on my own and yes, they are good. I got Mango flavor and love it while my husband loves their limited flavor, firemelon. I decided to carry their brand since they are made here in Fort Worth by a group of friends. Yes, try them out and I bet you will love them like I do.

Their hot sauce is not your typical off the shelf hot sauce - they took what they learned about brewing beer and applied that knowledge when developing their recipes. Their products require at least one month to produce because they allow the peppers to undergo a natural fermentation process that brings out natural locked up flavors and enables them to use much less vinegar in the recipe - they are not your run-of-the-mill spicy pepper flavored vinegar sauce. Each batch is given the time it needs to be it's best.

Their products are made in small batches in a health inspected kitchen by their team of 4. Their peppers are purchased locally from a small produce company 15 minutes away from our kitchen in Fort Worth, TX. They are cut, prepped by hand, and fermented in small 15 gallon batches. Once fermentation is complete their products are pasteurized and hand-bottled hot. They then finish by labeling them one by one and hand marking the unique batch # on the front. Their bottles are high-quality glass woozy bottles and are labeled with thick, sturdy vinyl labels. Just like with the base ingredients, they source both the labels and the bottles from local DFW suppliers.  They will never use any artificial fillers, flavors, or colors. Due to the very nature of their process, you will find no preservatives in their products - the natural acidity created by the fermentation and the gentle pasteurization provides built-in protection from spoilage that makes preservatives unnecessary.

Below are the descriptions of the Flavors. Limited Flavors are Firemelon, Desert Heat, Roasted Hatch Chili. All others are the Original Flavors.

Daily Driver

Polite, mild, and good on everything, Freaky Ferments Daily Driver shows you the bright side of the famous Bhut Jolokia pepper with only a mild bite. Made with the same recipe but with considerably less superhot peppers, consider this Ghost Sauce's little brother. It's a good sauce to leave on the table and eat with every meal.

Desert Heat

Spice up your life with Desert Heat! This sauce combines two of the hottest peppers, Trinidad Scorpion and Carolina Reaper Peppers, with Cactus Fruit, Raspberries, and Lime to bring you an intense fermented pepper sauce with a hint of desert sweetness. Pair this sauce with anything sweet and spicy - fruit with Tajin and chamoy, cactus fruit margaritas, and anything grilled.

Firemelon

Fire, fire, fire-melon! Firemelon is a special edition of our original ghost pepper sauce adding a summer twist with watermelon and lime. The fruit and citrus married in this sauce will send your taste buds on a ride in the best way. Blend this in a spicy margarita, drop some on fried chicken, or enjoy with any cold summer salads.

The Extra Hot Freaky Ferments original! We added two of the hottest peppers in the world to this sauce, and it is not for the faint at heart. Just a dab will light you up with a delicious burst of flavor that some have described as 'Flowery Buffalo'. Use it for cooking, marinades, sauces, or directly on food - it is sweet, floral, and provides a hell of a kick!

Made with freaky, fresh, simple, fermented ingredients: Ghost Peppers, Carolina Reaper Peppers, Red Bell Pepper, Onion, Shallot, Garlic, Salt, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Xanthan Gum.

After months of creating and tasting new flavors for our next hot sauce, an exciting combination stuck out and kept our attention: A spicy, vibrant cayenne pepper sauce paired with the zest of ginger and a bright zing of lemon. We carefully combined these fresh ingredients in a way we love and are confident that you will too. As always, we ferment our ingredients to maximize their fresh and wonderful flavors and take pride in bringing them to you. Inside there are no fillers, no preservatives, and no artificial colors or flavors. Oh, and there never will be.

Jalapeño

A Freaky Ferments original! Jalapenos are the #1 ingredient in our mildest hot sauce. We are proud to share with you our first fruit hot sauce! Tropical flavors of mango and pineapple matched with the heat of orange habanero gives this sauce a fruity, yet savory combo you will love. Roasted Hatch Chile

Hatch Chilies are a variety of green peppers grown in an area of New Mexico called the Hatch Valley. The growing conditions in this area are unique and help give this particular pepper its signature flavor. Each September in Fort Worth our markets fill with these beautiful peppers and Hatch Chile festivals take place. Doing what we do best, we fermented them with a few other fresh ingredients and bottled this Roasted Hatch Chile Hot Sauce by hand for you. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Freaky Ferments Smoked Jalapeño takes our classic Jalapeño sauce recipe and kicks up the flavor by slowly smoking the Jalapeño peppers before aging and using them for this sauce. The mesquite wood used is a classic Texas barbecue tradition and you will find its distinctive, sharp flavors pair just right with the Jalapeño peppers. This sauce will pair perfectly with any barbecue that is lucky enough to be served with it.

Roasted Sweet Heat is our light and vibrant take on roasted garlic with a fermented twist. This unique sauce is made with chile de Arbol, roasted red Fresnos, fresh roasted garlic, and is back-sweetened with just the right amount of honey. Mix this in your pasta, drip some on a pizza, or enjoy with your favorite BBQ.
